You probably have noticed the term Private Label Rights (PLR) in your research online. PLR articles are simply articles that others have written that you can buy (either in packages or as part of a membership) to use in your online business. The best part is that you can edit the articles and use them as if you’d written them yourself.
What makes PLR different than using free reprint articles or hiring a ghostwriter? Well, compared to free reprint articles from places like EzineArticles.com or LadyPens.com, you do not need to link back to the author. And, unlike ghostwritten articles which can cost quite a bit, PLR articles only cost between $1-$2 each.
Once you understand the concept behind PLR articles, you can see why they are hot. Most people can envision the value of adding the articles to their blogs. But, did you know there are more ways to use PLR articles than that? Let’s cover a few of the more profitable ways you can use PLR articles in your online business.
1. Use them to create your weekly ezine. How many times have you sat down to write and send your weekly newsletter and gone blank? You don’t have to any longer. Simply go to your PLR folder on your hard drive and search for a topic. Grab the PLR article and paste it into your newsletter. Add some of your own thoughts to it and you’re ready to send a valuable ezine to your list in minutes.
2. Start an ecourse. It’s quite easy to turn PLR articles into an ecourse simply by adding them to your autoresponder. Something as simple as an article titled “Five Ways to Get More Customers” can become a 5 day ecourse that you can develop to grow a big newsletter list. And, we all know that the money is in the list.
3. Create a print newsletter. My email inbox is full of junk. I skim it once a day and hope that I don’t miss anything good. However, I do walk out to my mailbox every day when the postal carrier comes and I pour over my mail. Do you see an opportunity there? Why not send a printed newsletter in the mail and stand apart from the competition in your customer’s minds? You can do it easily … with PLR.
4. Record a “how to” video. Quite a large number of videos on YouTube have been started from PLR articles. Why not? The PLR provider has basically given you an outline and talking points. All you have to do is to hit the “record” button.
5. Write a book. Did you know that a number of the non-fiction books on Amazon.com contain PLR articles in them? It’s a fact. I know because my customers have told me that they’ve used my PLR content in their books. Buy a report or article from a PLR site and use it as the foundation for a chapter in your book. It will save you time and make your book a reality a lot sooner.
See how easy that is? The only hard part is finding a PLR source that is high quality and fits your niche. Look around. Make sure the PLR package or membership you choose provides you with high quality articles so you can create something you’ll be proud of. Now go and profit!
